A Blessing for One Who is Engaging in a Creative Project

May God the Artist

who imagined oceans, and diamonds,

create through you

what exists now only on the inside.

May Christ, the Visionary,

who became a dream embodied,

sustain you now,

as you embody your dreams.

May the Spirit be in you,

who brought into being

stars, and redwoods, and jellyfish

and your own creative process.

And through you

may God midwife a new reality

from the prism of all possibilities.

In the name of the creative God,

the imagination of Christ,

and the artistry of the Spirit,

Amen

Poems serve to name what is.

Prayers help us name who God is.

Blessings invite us name our hope.

May these words for sharing nourish your brain and the spirit in private moments and as you share them with loved ones to comfort, mark occasions, and invite us to remember the nonviolent, nonpunishing, unconditionally forgiving image of God reflected in Jesus.
